The School Council exists to represent the views of parents/carers on matters relating to Towerbank School & Nursery.
Membership of the School Council is voluntary and any Parent/Carer with a child at the School or Nursery can join. The Council meets around four times a year and meetings are open to anyone wishes to attend. The Council also reports at an annual Parent/Carer Forum meeting, usually held shortly before the summer break.
The role of School Councils is quite loosely defined, so in many ways it is what we make it. Since being formed almost three years ago the School Council has been largely pre-occupied with issues surrounding the long awaited extension to the school, as well as projects involving parents in the school. However we are there to represent your views on any matters affecting the education and welfare of pupils, as well as promote communication between the School, parents, pupils and the wider community.
So if you have any particular interests, suggestions or concerns please make your views known.
